I think these chapters were definately the high of the story that i wasn’t explecting. I always thought that Boo Radley was someone really nice that no one gave a chance to show his nice side. I believe that he was kind of like an angel or gardian. I love the fact Scout got to finally meet Boo. She came out to be the a better person at the end then at the beginning. I also think she learned to not judge people so quickly. Being that atticus took the Tom Robinson case it taught his children to not be so judgemental not only to black people but to people in general. I liked the ending<3

“Bob Ewell’s lyin’ on the ground under that tree down yonder with a kitchen knife stuc kup under his ribs. He’s dead, Mr. Finch.”

Tate tells Mr. Finch Bob is dead with a knife in his chest. This part of the story was crazy because it turns out Boo Radley, the one Scout has been curious about all this time, saves Jem.

The end of the book was amazing. The story concluded perfectly. Even Though this small post can not do To Kill A Mockingbird justice, I will try. The ending is one of the best endings leaving me feeling more content than the first time I read it. Bob Ewell got what he deserved, even though it might be harsh. We finally found how Jem had his arm hurt. We also finally saw the mysterious Boo Radley. The questions I had from last time i read the book, I found it in this reading.  I thought it was very funny that Scout was a Ham, and then came on late for her Que.  On the way home Bob Ewell, probably drunk, attacked the kids. Boo protected them, he stabbed Bob. Boo carried Jem home, because Jem was unconsicious. Boo saved the kids, Scout talked to Boo for a while. The part that really got me was that Heck Tate covered for Jem and Boo, and said that Bob fell on his own knife.

“‘Scout, I think I’m beginning to understand something. I think I’m beginning to understand why Boo Radley’s stayed shut up in the house all this time. It’s because he wants to stay inside.’”

I think this is the point that shows that Jem has finally grown up. Instead of making myths he realizes that Boo Radley is better of inside because of all the issue with segregation out side his home. I think at that point,, if i were there I would live in my house and never come out either.

I think both of these pictures show how much America has changed. With Martin Luther King Jr. changing the boarders of color to Barak Obama changing the way AMERICA is upheld. Even though there are still people out there that believe seperation is needed the world has shown those few people otherwise.

This chapter was not that suprising or shocking. I figured that Tom Robinson would be guilty of a crime that obviously wasn’t commited. I think the way people thought in that day was dissapointing. I think that no matter what race, gender, religion or sexuality people are, they should be accepted and not treated any different them anyone esle. Coexist! When Tom Robinson was killed I think that brought some sense of joy to people in Maycomb, which is very vulgar and narrow minded of them. I appaude Atticus for not only taking the case but also trying this case like he would any other. Maybe even harded.

Chapters 21-25 events were surprising and very disappointing. When Tom Robinson lost the case I was so disappointed but not surprised. I had already seen it coming way before the case started. The jury was a full white jury, and Tom being black changed the jury’s choice on Tom Robinson. I thought Atticus made a great case against Mayella and her father. I thought Mayella’s father beat her for whatever reason it may be.  Since the book takes place during the 1930’s race issues have been worse back then. When Atticus was at the post office Bob Ewell threatened him and spat on his face. If I were Atticus I would have gotten so mad because I believe spitting is one of the worst things you could do to a person. I believe spitting is worse than getting punched in the face. I would have been angry if someone did that to me but Atticus being calm, he just walked away and did nothing.  Later on in the book, I was so shocked to read that Tom Robinson got shot in prison, trying to escape work. It must have been terrible for Cal to tell Tom Robinson’s wife that he was dead. But someone had to tell her eventually because the news would of spread over time.

The last 5 chapters where intense beyond belief man.  I was kinda pissed at the end of the book, just for the things that had happened to Tom, Atticus, and the things the children had to go through.  Tom was innocent everyone could see it.  It makes me so angry that Mr. Ewell could one night beat his daughter because he was drunk, then that not being bad enough, he blammed it on Tom. He Knew Tom would be found guilty because it was the 1930-40′s. It makes me upset that a man is killed because the color of his skin. Back in the day, if a white person would have beat his kids, he would have gottan away with it.

I thought it was messed up how Mr. Ewell threathend and spit on Atticus. Atticus being the good person did nothing. If I were Atticus I would have gottan in a fight with him.  If I were Jem I would have cried too. This shows that Jem has a sense of right and wrong just like his father. He knew what was happening to tom was wrong. I would have also tried to escape from jail like Tom. It made me angry that Tom got shot.

Chapters 17-20

This part of the book was really good. A lot of people don’t know this about me but I like watching stuff about the law. I enjoy watching courtrooms so this part of the book was very fun for me to read. I couldn’t wait to see what Atticus was going to say for the case. I believe he pointed a lot of good points during the case. Atticus made a great case for Tom Robinson. He tricked Mayella’s father to write and it turns out he writes with his left hand. That was a big deal because Mayella’s injuries where on the right side of her body. I thought Atticus was a genus and he knows what he is doing. I believe that he showed Tom Robinson not guilty. How would Tom be able to hurt Mayella if he broke his left arm? That was a big eye opener for me and that should have won the case.  The courtroom doesn’t think so because of a race issue. When Dill starts to run away I skipped that part because I wanted to see what happened. At the end of the case Atticus makes his final words saying her father threatened to kill her and a black man felt bad, wanting to help out. I believe that is what happened that day.
